雲生まれ、消えゆくところ

本展覧会で私の出品する作品の画面は、冷たい無機的な線によって分割されています。この線は背景にある虚無的な形態を有する雲を貫き、かろうじて観る者に認識される状態を保っています。雲とは事実、大きな水蒸気の塊であり、私はこの制御不能な形態を使って、画中の無機的なオブジェとの間に相互作用を引き起こさせます。これによって画面の構成と配置された無機物のあいだに微弱な振動が生まれてくるのです。しかしそれはしばらくしないうちに画面から消え、ややもすると雲さえそこに残ることが選択できなくなってしまいます。私はそれらの無機的オブジェをただのなにもない空間に配することは考えませんでした。今回、私の作品を観ていただく皆様には、雲と空間のはざまで引き起こされる生成と消失のはかないひとときを、ともに感じていただければと願っております。

 

This Printmaking is from the series "Catch It Outside" created by the Artist ,Wong Weng Cheong in 2018. It  was exibited in Be-Kyoto Gallery in Kyoto Japan.  The series consists of 36 works, which are a combination of three-dimensional modelling and computer graphics; printed with copperplate printing technics. 

 

 Artist: I try to divide the picture with cold, abstract lines in my works for this exhibition . The lines penetrate the clouds with ambiguous shape in the background and forms a faintly discernible status . Clouds , in fact , are just big puffs of water vapors . I make use of the uncontrollable shape of clouds to create an interaction between the abstract objects and the clouds . This brings out the quiet vibe between the composition and the characters in the picture . It may disappear from the picture inadvertently , and perhaps the clouds could not choose to remain there . Besides , I never thought of touching any abstract objects through the emptiness of the picture . I just want to share with the audience . The mark that is left behind during the evanescent moment of disappearance which occurs during the encounter of clouds and space.

 

雲里雲外是次展出的作品，我嘗試以冰冷無機的線條分割畫面，當中穿插形體虛無線纱的雲配视，或若有若無地化為一種狀態。雲，說穿了，只不過是一團氣化了的水，利用它無法操縱的型態，無非想它帶起畫面的無機物與雲的互動，视托出畫面佈局與不同角色之間的靜默氛围。它可能從畫面中毫不經意就淡然消逝，或許，雲團自身也無法操控去留，我也並非妄想憑藉虛無的畫面來觸碰任何無形的事物，只希望與大家分享一旦消逝便不再回頭的一刻，在雲與空間的一角，偶然相遇所遺下的一顿印記罷了。
