⨺c Concept Collection - Special Collection
Lacuna, derived from the Latin for “gap” or “lake,” originally denotes a missing passage, an absent stanza, or a silent void within memory and text—like lines eroded from an ancient manuscript, awaiting the reader’s imagination to restore wholeness. This clothing collection, titled “Lacuna,” pays homage to the aesthetics of absence while treating each garment as an unfinished poem: cutouts as broken lines, distressed textures as faded pages, asymmetrical layers and translucent veils as deliberate omissions and ellipses. These pieces are not concluded works but open invitations—suspended in anticipation, quietly awaiting the destined wearer to continue the verse with their body, memories, and lived experience. Only when a customer claims, wears, and weaves the garment into their own narrative does the “lacuna” become truly filled, and the poem achieve completion. Lacuna is thus more than apparel; it is a poem awaiting fulfillment, a literary collaboration co-authored with every individual who makes it their own.
